How the expansion of Silicon Beach to Playa Vista will affect Manhattan Beach and surrounding areas

By Jennifer Petsu - November 3, 2015

Google's recent purchase in Playa Vista includes 1,200,000 square feet of new workspace, accommodates up to 6000 workers, and is Los Angeles's hottest office hub.  These well-paid Industry people are just a small portion the of new tech companies that will be moving into The Campus at Playa Vista.

Playa Vista is an incredibly beautiful planned development that includes single family homes, condominiums, luxury rental buildings, parks, trendy restaurants, Whole Foods, two fitness centers, a Cinemark Movie Theater, and much more. It will be a destination for many looking to avoid the traffic and hop on their beach cruiser for the daily commute. However, not everyone is going to want to live in PlayaVista . Many of the young singles will likely migrate to the hipper neighborhoods of Venice to the North. Where will the families go?

There are many incredible communities on the west side of Los Angeles and one of the highest priorities for any family looking for their new place to call home are the schools and access to them. Just a short drive along the coast from the epicenter of "Silicon Beach" is Manhattan Beach, 3.94 square miles of bliss, rated #1 neighborhood in LA Metro by Niche.com. Manhattan Beach is a family oriented, walkable community with highly rated schools according to greatschools.org. Once a sleepy beach community, Manhattan Beach has turned into the beach community for surfers, athletes, and movie stars!

We specialize in all of these great areas and more.  Give us a call and we'll help you find the perfect home in the area that fits your lifestyle.
